SJVN Commissions ₹1,342 Crore Jamui Solar Project

SJVN has hit a major green energy milestone with the commercial launch of its 75 MW solar project in Bihar's Jamui district. Developed by its arm SGEL at an investment of ₹1,342 crore, the installation spans 300 acres and is contracted to deliver affordable electricity to Bihar at ₹2.96 per unit. Beyond powering local homes with clean energy—estimating 90 million units in year one—the project serves as a regional economic booster by creating thousands of indirect jobs and cutting annual carbon footprints by over 82,000 tonnes.
